TULARE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A group of thieves managed to get away with tens of hundreds value of products throughout a brazen theft at an outlet shopping mall on Monday, according to the Tulare Law enforcement Division.
All around 1:45 p.m., officers were called out to the Tulare Outlet Mall to look into a theft at the Sunglass Hut. Even though the incident was originally described as a robbery, officials say they afterwards identified that it was grand theft.
When officers arrived, they spoke with personnel who reportedly instructed them a team experienced just stolen $48,000 worthy of of sun shades from the retailer.
Though investigating, officers say they discovered the adult men experienced stuffed their bags total of sun shades while the woman concentrated on distracting the employee.
Immediately after grabbing the products, the three men and the female reportedly still left jointly in a white 4-doorway vehicle, potentially with Indiana license plates.
A description of the suspects has not been delivered at this time, but authorities believe that they have been all older people.
Officers say workers consider the identical team was responsible for related thefts at other Sunglass Hut areas in Fresno, Bakersfield, and San Luis Obispo.
