SAN BRUNO, Calif. – A lawfully armed jewellery retail store owner in San Bruno thwarted a smash-and-get theft try by five gentlemen at his store, authorities reported.
The incident took place Friday around 1:06 p.m. at Maaz Jewelers, which is located within the Tanforan Shopping mall, law enforcement said.
Authorities stated 5 men who appeared to be in their teenagers or early 20s approached the store and just one of them entered with a crowbar.

Officers explained the suspect then raised the crowbar as if he was likely to hit the shop operator.
Which is when the Bhatti, who has a concealed have allow, pulled out a gun and pointed it towards the suspect although yelling for him to quit, police explained.
The suspect then ran out of the retailer when a 2nd suspect, who was section of the group and standing in the vicinity of the entrance of the keep, pulled out a gun and pointed it at Bhatti.
Authorities mentioned the retail store operator lifted his firearm again and pointed it at the man with the gun.
The suspect ran towards the group and all the suspects fled toward a division keep where by they managed to getaway.
The keep proprietor never fired his weapon during the incident and neither did the suspect who was armed with a gun.
“I’m not attempting to be a hero or a macho guy..it just occurred very brief and I had no choice,” Bhatti told KTVU.
