Rosemont outlet mall capturing: 2 shot, 1 fatally, at Trend Retailers of Chicago, officials say

ROSEMONT, Unwell. (WLS) — A single man or woman is useless and at minimum one other was hurt in a capturing at a Rosemont outlet mall Friday evening, officials claimed.

Rosemont police said an “isolated and targeted” shooting took place close to the food stuff court docket inside Trend Stores of Chicago just soon after 7 p.m.

Two shooting victims were being rushed to community hospitals and were originally documented to be in critical problem.

Police said just one of the capturing victims, a person in his 20s, died at the hospital. His name has not yet been launched.

A 15-calendar year-old lady was also shot in the wrist, police said. Her issue has considering that stabilized.

Law enforcement explained there might have been a 3rd taking pictures sufferer who left the area.

Witnesses inside the shopping mall said they listened to three to five photographs fired and noticed people today hurrying for the exit.

“We heard four gunshots swiftly and within minutes, we just ran,” Gucci keep worker Maria Salgado stated.

“I recognized that a stroller was ah, had fell in excess of, and it was a kid’s bottle laid out up coming to the stroller, it was a minimal girl’s stroller,” witness Stringer Harris said. “And that just told me how significant this matter was. Law enforcement explained the space is now risk-free, but Rosemont officers were being heading from keep by shop to get purchasers and workers out.

Police reported the suspects fled the scene in a pink auto. So far, no one is in custody.
